Volcan De Fuego Explosions – Guatemala, Central America

One of the most incredible experiences of our trip was hiking up Volcan Acatenango and camping in front of Volcan De Fuego, one of the most active volcanoes in the World.The steep slog to get up there was totally worth it. The ground was rumbling, it was lightly precipitating ash, and it was freezing but we were cozy around the campfire. Seeing Volcan De Fuego erupt every 20 minutes throughout the night long was indescribable. We liked it so much we ended up hiking to it twice!
